Visit – Ceylon - Sinhales-Portuguese Christ

In the Anastácio Gonçalves collection, there is a Sinhales-Portuguese Christ in ivory. Ivory works play a fundamental role in Luso-oriental art, most of which are sculptures of a religious nature were, for better acceptance by the communities, executed by local craftsmen, giving them unifying characteristics of Christian and local religions.
