The Ajuda National Palace and the LIGA Foundation present “Faces of a Journey: Another Perspective”, an initiative that celebrates memory, legacy, and institutional identity through art.
As part of this event, a portrait exhibition dedicated to the founders, directors, and presidents of the LIGA Foundation—key figures in the construction and development of its history—will be inaugurated. More than a tribute, this exhibition proposes a diverse perspective on these personalities, exploring human, symbolic, and emotional dimensions that transcend formal representation. Each portrait invites the public to discover stories, values, and contributions that marked different moments in the life of the institution.
In parallel, a round-table discussion will take place with guests from the fields of painting, ceramics, and dance, fostering a space for dialogue and interdisciplinary reflection. Drawing on their artistic practices, participants will share perspectives on portraiture as a form of expression, the construction of identity, and the multiple ways of representing human and institutional journeys.
“Faces of a Journey: Another Perspective” thus establishes itself as a meeting point between past and present, memory and creation, reinforcing the role of art as a privileged means of interpretation, appreciation, and continuity.
