On International Museum Day, we invite you to visit the Pharmacy Museum’s collection and embark on a journey through 5,000 years of history.
A journey through the Universal History of Health and Pharmacy via artefacts of rare scientific, anthropological, artistic and social value, offering a tour in which each civilization is portrayed through a narrative of combating disease and the search for cures and pain relief, across cultures and civilizations as diverse in time and space as Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Rome, the Pre-Columbian civilizations, the Islamic world, Africa, Tibet, China and Japan, amongst others.
