The José Pedro House-Museum, located in Sacavém, in the municipality of Loures, preserves and promotes the artistic legacy of José da Silva Pedro, a ceramist, sculptor and former modeller at the Sacavém Earthenware Factory. Housed in the artist’s former residence, the museum offers an exhibition route that connects the house and garden, showcasing his work in ceramics, plaster, faience and other materials. The museum stands as a place of memory, creativity and discovery, where art, nature, industrial heritage and popular imagination come together in a distinctive expression of local and national culture. Opened in 2005, it is part of the Loures museum network and plays an important role in preserving and sharing the municipality’s cultural heritage.
